Ashley Terrill womens bikinis sale sued the digital media company in Manhattan federal court for libel and is seeking $10 million in damages.

Terrill suit underwear was working on a story about alleged sexual harassment at Tinder when she believed her cellphone and computer were .

The story was for another media outlet.

Upon the recommendation of a friend, Terrill reached out to Gawker for help in determining if she was, indeed, , court papers allege.

After talking to Gawker editor John Cook and writer Sam Biddle, and explaining to them what her story was about, all three agreed to keep the story and Terrill’s identity confidential, it is alleged.

“She asked Biddle to maintain the confidentiality of the information that she was to share with him and provide her with whatever advice or assistance that he could,” the suit claims. “Biddle agreed.”

But Cook and Biddle allegedly broke their promise.

Instead of helping her with her story, Gawker wrote its own story, “Tinder Confidential: The Hookup App’s Founders Can’t Swipe Away the Past,” Terrill said in court papers.

The story, which used Terrill’s name prominently, alleged Terrill was engaging in “character assassination” of Tinder co-founder Whitney Wolfe, court papers claim.

Terrill is suing Gawker, Biddle, and Gawker editor John Cook.

At the time, Wolfe had left Tinder to start a rival dating app and, in 2014, had filed a sexual harassment suit against her former employer.

That suit was quickly settled out of court.

Biddle decided to go back on his word because he had a personal relationship with Wolfe and a second Tinder employee, it is alleged.

Biddle kept that information from Terrill, it is alleged.

A Gawker spokesman said he considered it a “frivolous lawsuit,” and declined further comment.

Gawker was sued in 2012 by Hulk Hogan, the former WWE star, for $100 million.

Hogan claims Gawker violated his privacy when it posted a video of him having sex with the wife of his then best friend.

A trial in that suit is scheduled for March 7.

Adding swimwear manufacturer China insult to injury, homeowner Patrice James says in her Brooklyn Supreme Court lawsuit, the woman trashed the apartment, leaving it a rodent-infested wreck.

“The tenant wholesale swimwear got a free apartment and NYCHA got free housing for the tenant — but I’m out the money!” James, a JFK Airport worker, fumed to The Post.

James, 40, rented the upstairs apartment of her East Flatbush multifamily house to a homeless woman named Amy Chambliss in 2003, signing a two-year Section 8 lease for $1,134 per month, the suit states.

Section 8 is a rent-assistance program for low-income people funded by the federal govement and administered in New York City by NYCHA.

When Chambliss lost her Section 8 status a year later and James tried to kick her out, NYCHA persuaded a Brooklyn judge to stay the eviction, the lawsuit claims.

“I took the matter to landlord-tenant court to get the tenant out of the apartment, since I was not receiving any form of compensation,” the suit states. “At that time, NYCHA convinced the judge that they were working with the tenant to reinstate.

“Hence, the judge continued to put a stay on my eviction.”

Neither NYCHA nor Chambliss paid James anything for the last year of the lease or the additional six months it took James to evict Chambliss, the suit states.

James fought to recoup her lost income, but ­NYCHA sent her a letter in February 2014 slapping down her request.

“My place was trashed — not just destroyed, but full of rodents almost to the point where I couldn’t live below it,” James said.

The suit seeks $48,216 in back rent, renovation costs and legal fees

A NYCHA spokeswoman declined to comment.
